Heineken Joint Venture With Comans Gets CCPC Approval

Heineken Ireland has received approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for its joint venture with Comans Beverages Limited.

In a statement on the CCPC website, the Commission said that it has "formed the view that the proposed transaction will not substantially lessen competition in any market for goods or services in the State."

The transaction was notified to the Commission on 23 February.

Comans Beverages Limited is a wholesale supplier of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Dutch Gold and Druids Celtic Cider, to on-trade and off-trade outlets in the State with a distribution depot located in Tallaght, Co. Dublin.
