Carroll’s focus will be to lead on developing and implementing strategic approaches to food regulation based on best practice, science and better regulation principles and to provide input to food safety developments at national and EU level.

She will also represent the FSAI at European and international levels to assure Ireland’s approach to food regulation is understood. As part of the FSAI’s Senior Leadership Team, she will play a key role in supporting collaboration across the organisation and contributing to the FSAI’s strategic plan.
