Aldi Opens New Flagship Store At Frascati Shopping Centre

Aldi has opened a new flagship store at the revamped Frascati Shopping Centre in the heart of Blackrock in order to continue its nationwide expansion.

Ireland rugby stars Rob Kearney and Garry Ringrose have officially opened the new look ‘Project Fresh’ store.

The new store follows the recent opening of Aldi Leixlip, as the retailer continues to invest in the Dublin area.

Aldi has plans to open a new store at Royal Canal Park early next year and an additional store in Swords.

Aldi has committed €100 million to construct and open 20 new stores by the end of 2019, while Project Fresh sees Aldi invest a further €60 million in revamping the layout and design of all its 134 stores nationwide.

"Our commitment to our customers is we will never be beaten on price and always provide the best value," Peter Flynn, manager of Aldi’s new Frascati Shopping Centre store.

Featuring Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh layout and design, the store boasts a large shop floor spanning 1,107m², 556 shared car parking spaces, wide aisles, and hi-spec fixtures and fittings.

The Opening

The opening day has reportedly drawn families with the presence of 2FM’s Nicky Byrne and Jenny Green, and wine expert Tom Doorley, providing music, Aldi wines' recommendations.

Aldi also recently increased its support for small Irish suppliers by reducing its payment terms to 14 days for suppliers that transact up to €300,000 annually with Aldi.
