SuperValu today announced the expansion of its convenience meal offering, following the acquisition of Clean Cut Meals by Musgrave.

The high-quality meal range will further enhance the healthy meal offering available at SuperValu and Centra stores across the country, in what is a rapidly growing category of the market.

Established in 2015, Clean Cut Meals is a healthy ready-meal producer based in Galway.

The company’s mission is to create nutritious and convenient high-quality meals and snacks.

It also specialises in a range of products that cater to consumers who seek out healthy choices.

The business offers a range of meal plans, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options.

Its menu changes monthly, to keep the range as fresh as possible, strengthening the company’s ability to adapt to changing customer tastes and demands.

The interim managing director at SuperValu and Centra, Luke Hanlon, welcomed the acquisition, saying, “Customers are increasingly seeking healthy, tasty and convenient meal offerings, and we have invested heavily in developing our market-leading offering in this category.

Clean Cut Meals currently operates from a production kitchen facility in Galway, where it employs 20 staff members.
