Délifrance Partners With Derry Group Ireland

Délifrance has partnered with Derry Group Ireland's new logistics hub in Co Armagh, to support the company’s growth across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Derry Group Ireland owns Derry Refrigerated Transported, a distributor of chilled, ambient, and frozen goods.

The bakery company opened an office in Dublin in 2018.

Efficient Delivery

Previously, Délifrance products were distributed to Irish customers from the UK, and this new logistics centre will offer customers a faster and more efficient delivery service.

The partnership between the two groups ensures that the baker's customers on the island of Ireland will not be impacted by the Brexit changes in the UK.

The new hub includes a 70,000-square-foot coldstore, from which Délifrance product will be managed and distributed across Ireland.

Sébastien Guibert, commercial director UK, Ireland & emerging markets at Délifrance, said that, due to its growing customer base, the group is delighted to partner with Derry Group's new distribution centre "that supports this growing demand in a more efficient way." Guibert acknowledged the difficulties presented by Brexit, but is adamant that the group's customers "can be safe in the knowledge of our commitment to provide security in supply."

Patrick Derry, managing director at Derry Group Ireland Refrigerated Transport, said the group "look forward to working together and building on our strategic partnership” with Délifrance.
