Dunnes Stores Takes Four Awards At PLMA Salute to Excellence Awards

Dunnes Stores has won four PLMA Salute to Excellence Awards, the only retailer from Ireland to be named among the winners across 48 product categories.
The PLMA Salute to Excellence Awards were held in advance of the PLMA World of Private Label expo, which takes place in Amsterdam today (19 May) and tomorrow.
The winning Dunnes Stores products included Dunnes Stores Simply Better Dunnes Stores 14 Day Irish Angus Fillet Steaks, Dunnes Stores Simply Better Vanilla Fudge, Dunnes Stores Simply Better Muesli and Dunnes Stores Simply Better Puttanesca Sauce.
More than 350 products were graded as part of the awards, from a total of 70 countries. Other winners at the event included Tesco, Carreforur, Delhaize, Spar Austria, Penny Markt, Asda, Sonae, Micros, Pingo Doce and Albert Heijn.
The PLMA World of Private Label exhibition will welcome more than 3,500 exhibition stands on the trade-show floor, and feature nearly 2,400 exhibitors from 70 countries, including almost 56 national and regional pavilions.
“This year’s trade show, PLMA’s biggest ever, provides a unique opportunity for retailers and manufacturers to work together to capitalise on the growing popularity of private label across Europe,” Brian Sharoff, PLMA president, said in advance of the event.
