McDonald’s 'Own your McSpicy face' ad was the most popular food and drink brand advert on the TV in June once again, according to research conducted by Behaviour & Attitudes on behalf of Checkout.

1. McDonalds: Own Your McSpicy Face

When it comes to consumers’ favourite TV food and drink brand adverts, McDonald’s: Own Your McSpicy Face is the most popular advert on television this month. In the ad, McDonald’s calls on members of the UK public to own their ‘spicy’ faces when they tuck into a McSpicy chicken burger. The 30-second spot opens with a woman sitting at a bus stop, proudly waiting to take a bite out of her McSpicy. It then cuts to people trying to cool down by staying out of the heat.

2. Coca-Cola: A Recipe for Magic by Gigi Hadid | New Tradition

The second-place spot goes to the Coca-Cola: A Recipe for Magic by Gigi Hadid | New Tradition advert. The 30-second ad features American model and television personality Gigi Hadid making home-made pasta with her friends, before sitting down to dine with a bottle of Coca-Cola.

3. Rockshore: Refreshingly Irish

In third place is Rockshore’s ‘A man knits lookalike dolls for his friends’ ad.

4. Dominos: Castaway

Dominos: Castaway ad remains popular with views, claiming the fourth-place position. The creative opens on a desert island where three castaways are stranded and are dreaming of food they would like to eat. One of the guys yodels ‘DOMIN-OH-HOO-HOO’ and a jet ski delivery driver appears carrying a Domino’s pizza.

5. Guinness: Holding Out For A Zero

The Guinness - Guinness 0.0 ad is in fifth place. This ad features singing pints in which pints of Guinness 0.0 are animated to sing along to Bonnie Tyler’s smash hit ‘Holding Out For A Hero’.
