BWG Foods-owned convenience brand Mace has unveiled 'Right Options', a new range of healthy food choices, including deli and meal options, as well as snacking and grocery items.
The retail group announced the new range at the Mace Convention, which took place in Killarney yesterday (16 November).
As well as the launch of Right Options, Mace is also expanding its Fresh Choice house brand into new product areas in fruit & veg, prepared salads, cut fruit and wholefoods.
More than 200 attendees were present at the Mace Convention, where delegates were told that Mace is now the 'most dominant brand on Irish forecourts', with nearly 160 sites across the country.
“In a sluggish grocery market, Mace has bucked the trend, performing well in terms of increasing brand awareness, market share, store numbers and retail sales per square metre," said BWG Group chief executive Leo Crawford.
Alex Banahan, sales director at Mace, added that the development of the new healthy ranges is an "opportunity to attain a leadership position in the convenience sector when it comes to a focus on health and wellbeing."
